I did something today that has totally gone against what I normally do. This is a good thing! Truely!
I applied for another job. Yes another job. I was finally motivated enough to do something about my current situation. I have been taken advantage of for the last time! People should know that I have a hard time saying "NO"... But no more!
I haven't been happy with what I have been doing for the last year or so, and I need a break. A change in directions. I've been with Franklins for almost 7 years.
I'm usually so not motivated, so this is wierd!
I saw the job advert on Monday night, and submitted my application about an hour ago. Customer Service at the Botanical Gardens!
More when I can think straight...

Please tell my body, that it needs to go to sleep? Cause it is ignoring me. Got home around 12.30 and basically went straight to bed, as I have to start work again at 7am.
Still awake.
Tired, but not sleepy.

I have decided that I need to be a bit more social... See how long I can keep it up!
These last two days have been shitty to say the least. When I am less tired and drained I will go into it.
I am so glad Tim was just there for me this afternoon.

Played Texas Hold'em with the family yesterday afternoon. I don't think I've laughed so hard for ages.
Strange thing is, I actually won! (And no, I still really don't know how to play properly) Have decided that I am going to buy my brother poker chips for his birthday. We played with Connect 4 pieces!
I thought brother was going to win, as he has played poker longer than I have.
I blame watching WPT on TV for my slight obsession with the game. The free games on the internet are quite distracting too...

Just got the best email in my inbox today... Talking about the guests at Whovention the Doctor Who convention that is happening later in the year.
Guess who's coming??
Yes, Frazer Hines
*faints again*
Am so going to go now...
(I don't think it was a good idea yelling out at 11pm, when I found out)

Yes, I have actually become motivated for once and booked a trip to Japan and a tour! *falls down in shock*
I'll be leaving on 16th Aug returning on the 7th Sept.
( Cut for details etc... )
I have three days in Tokyo before I start the tour and then 5 days after to myself. Any suggestions on what I should do??

Total number DVD/videos I own:
DVD: 203 *cough*
(Includes 6 seasons of M*A*S*H, 2 seasons of Starsky and Hutch, First 2 seasons of DS9 and Stargate, the original Battlestar)
VHS: 21. Nice small amount there. But am not counting the tapes where I have taped off the TV. Then that would be embarrasing
The last film I bought: *goes blank for a second* First season of Wire in the Blood and Police Story
The last film I watched:
In the theater: There are usually big gaps between the movies, but in the last two weeks I have seen, Hitchhikers, Kingdom of Heaven and In good Company
On TV: I tend not to watch Movies on TV. I can't remember the last one that I did saw. Probably something on Fox Classics...
On video/DVD: Once Upon a Time in China. I love Jet Li...
Five films that I watch a lot or that mean a lot to me:
1. The Killer: One of the first Chow Yuen Fat movies I saw. Still love it.
2. The General: Buster Keaton... What else can I say!
3. Guess who's coming to dinner?: I first saw this film a few months ago. I now really want to get it on DVD, so I can watch it again. It still has relevance today. Absolutely love Katharine Hepburn.
4. The Roaring Twenties: Am quite a big fan of James Cagney...
5. The series of Sharpe movies: How can you resist The Bean?? ;) Am also there for the relationship between Sharpe and Harper...
Pick five people and have them put this in their journal
Anyone??

For once the Bus that I was waiting for came, and it was on time too!
On Friday, the 9:57 (the last bus i can take) never turned up. I ended up flagging down a taxi to get home from work.
Monday the 8:16 never came and the 8:57 was 7 mins early. Lucky I was at the bus stop at the time!
Tuesday the 8:57 decided not to turn up, so I decided that I would walk home. That was a nice brisk 4.5k walk!!
(Yesterday doesn't count as I took a cab home, cause I got out of work late and definately no bus to get me home)
I rang in a complaint to the RTA on Tues because of Friday. If they don't ring back by tomorrow am definatly going to harrass them!

Have finished the last of the scotch. Which actually wasn't that hard, because there wasn't that much left! I say on to the rum!
But then there's not much of that left either.
When I went to the Easter Show on Good Friday I aquired a Siamese Fighting Fish. It's bright blue... And it needs a name! i would have a picture, but mum and dad have the camera!
For some reason I want to name it Bob. But I am resisting at the moment!
On another matter. Am not going to the Easter Show on Good Friday again. Ok, I wont go when school holidays are not on at the same time as the Easter Show. The amount of people there... O_o
I think that it's funny that about three or four people tried to convince me against going by myself. I enjoy going by myself, as you can see everything that you want and don't have to answer to anyone!

Sorta...
Christopher Eccleston is quitting Doctor Who after the first season. Because he is afraid of getting type cast.
Hahahahahahahaha...
I think they should have kept with Paul McGann *swoons* (No, am not biased at all!)
Poor Doctor, he's quite quickly running out of lives!

When going shopping, always expect the unexpected....
I hate being an impulse shopper. I sometimes do come away with the most unexpected things. One also cannot resist a sale. That is why I go crazy when Borders has the 20% off for students (just ignore the fact that I may not be a student, but I still have my card.) And I come away from there with $300 -$400 worth of Books and DVDs.
Well, I went shoe shopping today with Mum and Dad, as I was looking for a new pair of runners. One thing that I was specific on, was that the majority of the shoe couldn't be white. For some reason I do not like a white running shoe... I did end up buying a pair, the major color being grey... Also I got a nice pair of brown casual shoes. Felt quite energetic, so my third purchase was a netball. It has been in my head for quite a while that I should start shooting practice up again, it'd give me the chance to do a bit of running around, which I tthink is what I need.
Then the impulsive me kicked in. On overdrive, I think...
Have kicked around the idea for a while of getting a new exercise bike. Not the one where you perch up on a bike seat, but one where you sit down on a seat and peddle. (I have no idea what they're called.) There was one there that I really liked. So I bought it. *cough*
Yes, crazy, I know. But I am most likely going to use it at home, than try and go to a gym that I can easily avoid...

And I may not for some time yet!
Unlike previous times, when I just plain avoid the net... I have actually been away! Spent the week up at Yamba with Shem and her parents.
For people who have no idea where Yamba is ...

Not the greatest pic around! It took around 9 hours to get up there.
I really enjoyed the break...
Have just now remembered that I need to find out what is usually rotated with Sugar Cane...
More on things when I can think coherently.

It is quite a weird feeling having a public holiday in the middle of the week. I kept refering to today as Sunday!
Didn't feel patriotic at all! I don't think most Australians are that patriotic at all... Maybe only when it comes to sport??!!
Edit: Or it could just be another excuse for fireworks

Can I say that I am very glad that it is the end of the week?? Well I guess that I just did! I may just have to mention it again later on.
Forgot to say that I went and watched the SpongeBob SquarePants movie on the weekend. I enjoyed it, but then small things can quite easily amuse me! Am not sure why I like SpongeBob so...
Was going to write some more, but at the moment my brain is not being coherent. Off to watch Mon Oncle.

I know that I haven't been on for a while... So I'll start with the boring things first:
( Some memes )
edit: was looking at that list from imdb... it actually goes to 250 and it is what the registered users rate them. At least it is not the largest grossing movies of all time, as they have not taken into account the older movies and inflation etc etc!
Left work just after 12am. Stocktake -- fun fun! Actually it wasn't that bad; I think. It will be interesting to see what the result is. All that is left to do now is the scanning of the dumped stock and the missed report... which tells you all the things that have been missed being counted. Could be that it was just missed, or that the item has been deleted, but the count hasn't been put at zero, or people have just fucked up the counting.
Hopefully it should be right. I hope! Stocktake was one month early this time, because we are going to our own werehouse at the end of the month. It will be interesting. Until they get the new ordering system operational, they have taken the stock adjustment option out of our system. Hopefully we won't get many mispicks, otherwise we shall be well and truely fucked. O_o
I had to count bulk displays, clip-strips and had someone to help with most of the aisle displays. I can't count in my head very well... you should see my hand, scribbled all over with adding up. Yes, I know... I never learned my times tables! *blushes*
Am glad Vive and Regi came down to help! *waves*
We have shitloads of stock coming in tomorrow night. Because no order was done Friday night to come in Monday night, we have 5 days sales to take account of on the order that was done today. There should be 18-20 pallets coming in, depending on the out of stocks.. Compared to our 7-10 pallets on a Monday! I love the fact that we are a small-ish store! The shelves do look a little light, but not as bad as it could be. And the best thing is that we have visitors... 5 directors from South Africa coming to visit our store Wednesday morning! Great! All morning it will be pack, pack pack!! Tidy tidy!! Hurry Hurry!!
Ok, all the boring work stuff is now finished!
